It does look more mysterious, like looking through a blurred glass pane, trying to listen in on their conversation.  Nice effect on the picture!

I personally like this one better - adds a bit more character to it, rather than typical line drawings, you know? I mean, you always see line drawings. Not so much this sort of thing. And granted, the lined one makes it more clear who is looking at what, but . . . I like this version better xD
